Leicester based Nick Fitzhugh Quintet (NFQ) perform their own style of 'wonky-jazz,’ creating hypnotising and cinematic soundscapes, which take the listener on a musical journey.
NFQ have been playing together for many years as both this, and many other guises. So this is reflected in the way that they interact and perform together.
The music gradually manifests itself from jamming and refining of ideas, until it feels like it is a finished composition.
Since 2007, NFQ have honed their style to sound unique, yet still be universally appealing to those from all walks of life.
